Carnikava is a quit town by the coastline of the Baltic Sea, located just 20 miles from the Riga International Airport (RIX) at the mouth of the longest river in Latvia named Gauja. It had only 4,015 residents as of 2015.
Carnikava was first mentioned in Livonian chronicles in 1211 as a summoning place of Livonian troops.
